Saint Basil Academy residential program offers three distinct programs at our Hudson Valley campus in Garrison, New York. The programs include The Youth Program (6-18), the Bridge Program (18-26) and the Family Program (0-21). Saint Basil Academy seeks to support relational growth in a nurturing, loving, goal-oriented environment. Residents live full-time on campus and receive individualized care to meet physical, psychological and spiritual goals. We aim to do this with dignity, respect, and hope, and without discrimination.
The Youth Program
The Youth Program is for children ages 6-18 who live on campus without the presence of a parent. Direct care staff function as their caregivers and provide them with love, guidance, and crucial life skills that they will take into adulthood. Outside of dorm and campus life, children in this program also participate in a range of sports, arts, and extracurricular activities. By providing structure and guidance, Saint Basil Academy children feel safe in their environment and open themselves up to learning and growing.
The Bridge Program
The Bridge Program is an independent living experience on the campus of Saint Basil Academy. Our mission is to work collaboratively with each participant to help in the areas of educational proficiency, financial independence, vocational security, and social and psychological growth. By empowering the participants in the program to develop goals and improve life skills, we hope to support and motivate them to work towards further independence and graduation from the Bridge Program.
The Family Program
The Family Program supports children whose mother is homeless and in need of shelter and support. To avoid the trauma of separating a child from their mother, Saint Basil Academy provides food and shelter to the children while helping the mothers become self-sufficient.
Our mission is to work collaboratively to develop and nurture in the areas of growth for educational proficiency, financial independence, and social and psychological competency. Our goal is to help provide these families an independent living experience while helping with basic needs (i.e. food and shelter). In addition, Saint Basil Academy seeks to provide individualized access to education, academic, and psychological support. We empower the mothers in our program to develop goals and improve life skills. We hope to support, nurture and motivate the mothers to work towards further independence while empowering their children as they both mother and child graduate from the Saint Basil Academy Family Program.
